Central asian football association established
Bishkek. February 25. KyrTAG - Central asian football association (Central Asian Football Association) is established. Football federation of KR informed Wednesday.
«On February 9 Melbourn (Australia) hosted an extra congress of Asian football confederation, where charter of the federation underwent amendments. According to amendments, members of AFC (47 members) decided to split into 5 areas (before they were four). The fifth area was Central Asia. Representatives of football federations of Central Asia held a gathering in Kuwait and made up their mind to establish the headquarter of the Central asian football asssociation in Tashkent», - according to the federation.
This regional association consists of 6 countries: Afghanistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan,Tajikistan, Turmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Chief of the association is selected Mirabror Usmanov, president of football federation of Uzbekistan.
