Oil Traders: We can Avoid Rapid Hikes of Prices on Oil and Petrol

 

 

Kyrgyzstan can avoid rapid increases of oil and petrol prices this spring, President of Oil Traders’ Association of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jumakadyr Akeneyev informed KyrTAG on Wednesday.

Head of the Association informed that Minister of Energy of Russian Federation forecasted wholesale prime costs on oil and petrol in the second quarter of this year by 13-15%.

 

«However, rapid price hikes on oil and petrol will not affect Kyrgyzstan, taking into account our reserves of fuel sufficient for one and half months, we will increase the prices gradually. Thus, most part of spring sowing works we will carry out easily. We urge farmers to provide themselves with oil and petrol in advance», - Mr. Akeneyev said.

He noted that the method of gradual price increase, by using reserves is not an innovation for oil traders; it was used in the autumn last year.

 

As we informed earlier, Mr. Akeneyev forecasted increase of prices in Kyrgyzstan in the second quarter of the year.
