First barman battle held in Bishkek

In Latte-Art contest, two barmen in turn prepare a cappuccino each, with assigned drawing of latte-art. And jury selects that drink with the best drawing and a winner moves on to the next round. Further, drawings of latte-art get complicated round by round.

«We are holding such event first time and it was attended by 10 barmen fr om Bishkek. Generally, many participants work in the city’s public catering establishments, wh ere their main work is coffee making. And the main goal of the event is sharing of experience among barmen».

The battle was attended by experienced and new barmen. As the champion of Kazakhstan on Latte-Art Nikolay Kim said, the drawings picked were simple, so that participants could feel their capacities.

«Battles of a barman were in a friendly setting. The goal of the contest was not just winning first award. But participants here gained big experience and just enjoyed making coffee», -  said N.Kim.
